I sit by the wall of a small terrace cafe and sip my tea. I try not to look around and meet eyes of strangers who probably don't get what I am doing here all by myself. I am reading. I sit alone and try to bury myself into the pages of the new book I bought. I hear chitter chatter all around me, but I try not to lose my concentration. I try to ignore the laughter of that loud buy, or that extremely talkative woman sitting close by. I read along and order more tea. In a while, I'm no longer surrounded by the loud talks of strangers. The book helps me to move away, to move towards solitude. I can spend hours like that.
I am an avid reader. I find books more comforting than people. I find written words more meaningful than conversations. This goes out to all the readers who, like me, have created a world of their own through books.
Keep reading, keep creating.
